Working principle of palm oil decolorization section:
Utilize materials with strong selective adsorption to absorb pigments and other impurities in oils under necessary conditions.
Commonly used adsorbents in palm oil decolorization section:
①Activated clay: Bentonite is used as a raw material and processed into an adsorbent with higher activity. Activated clay processing: mining, coarse crushing, acid activation, water washing, drying, grinding, sieving, etc. Good decolorization effect, commonly used.
②Activated carbon: It is made by carbonization of sawdust, bagasse, chaff, hard nut shell, etc., and then chemically or physically activated. It has a high decolorization coefficient and can reasonably remove regenerated pigments, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and residual pesticides without affecting the flavor of oils and fats. But the price is expensive and the oil absorption rate is high. Mix with white clay when needed.
③Diatomite: mostly used as filter aid.
